Qualifications:
JNU Professor Eligibility

A distinguished academic with a PhD in the relevant, allied, or concerned field and a record of high-caliber research publications; additionally, the candidate must be actively involved in research and have evidence of published work with at least 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, as well as a total research score of 120 according to the requirements outlined in Appendix II, Table 2 of the UGC Regulations, 2018.

A minimum of ten years of experience as an assistant professor, associate professor, or professor at a university or college, as well as research experience at a level appropriate at universities or national level institutions, with proof of having successfully mentored a PhD candidate.

The candidate should be an exceptional professional with a PhD degree in a relevant, allied, or applied discipline from any academic institution (not listed in A above) or industry. They should have made a significant contribution to the field's knowledge, as evidenced by documented data, and have ten years of experience.

JNU Associate Professor Eligibility

A strong academic background and a Ph.D. in the relevant, related, or concerned field.

A Master's degree with a minimum of 55% of the possible points (or, if the marking scheme is used, a comparable grade on a point scale).

Eight years of experience in teaching and/or research in a college, university, accredited research institution, or industry, or equivalent to an assistant professor position, with at least seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of seventy-five (75) according to the requirements listed in Appendix II, Table 2 of the UGC Regulations, 2018.

JNU Assistant Professor Eligibility

A Master's degree from an Indian institution in a relevant, related, or related field with 55% of the possible points (or an equivalent grade in a point system, if the grading system is used), or an equivalent degree from a recognized international university.

The candidate must meet the following requirements in addition to having passed the National Eligibility Test (NET) administered by the UGC or the CSIR, or a test comparable to it that has been approved by the UGC, such as SLET/SET. Alternatively, the candidate may have been granted a Ph.D. in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and any updates thereto, as applicable, be exempt from NET/SLET/SET: JNU Advt. No. RC/67/2023.

One of the following has resulted in the acquisition of a PhD degree from a foreign university or institution that consistently ranks among the top 500 in the World University Ranking:

- Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). - The Times Higher Education (THE) or. - The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).
